Ordinance to Adopt the Comprehensive Plan

Of the Village of Park Ridge, Portage County, Wisconsin

 

 

THE VILLAGE BOARD OF THE VILLAGE OF PARK RIDGE ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:

 

Section I.

Pursuant to Section 62.23(2) and (3) of the Wisconsin Statutes, the Village of Park Ridge is authorized to prepare and adopt a Comprehensive Plan as defined in Section 66.1001(1)(a) and 66.1001(2) of the Wisconsin Statutes, and has been working cooperatively with the assistance of the Portage County Planning and Zoning Department in preparing a Comprehensive Plan for the Village.

 

Section II.

The Village Plan Commission and the Park Ridge Village Board have adopted written procedures designed to foster public participation during preparation of the Village’s Comprehensive Plan as required by Section 66.1001(4)(a) of the Wisconsin Statutes.

 

Section III.

The Village Plan Commission held a public hearing on the proposed Comprehensive Plan in compliance with the requirements of Section 66.1001(4)(d) of the Wisconsin Statutes.

 

Section IV.

The Village Plan Commission of the Village of Park Ridge, by unanimous vote of the entire Commission as recorded in its official minutes, has adopted a resolution recommending to the Village Board the adoption of the Village of Park Ridge Comprehensive Plan, containing all of the required elements specified in Section 66.1001(2) of the Wisconsin Statutes.

 

Section V.

The Village Board of the Village of Park Ridge, Wisconsin, does, by enactment of this Ordinance, formally adopt the document entitled “Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Park Ridge” pursuant to Section 66.1001(4)(c) of the Wisconsin Statutes.

 

Section VI.

This Ordinance shall take effect upon passage by a majority vote of the Village Board and publication as required by law, and the Comprehensive Plan for Park Ridge shall be amended as deemed appropriate by the Village Board.

 

Passed and adopted by the Village of Park Ridge on this seventeenth day of May, 2004.
