Discussion ensued regarding ongoing concerns with radios. Baker commended Chief Lepper on the increased roster numbers. Gloudemans thanked Lepper for the reports.
Discussion and possible action on operator’s license application – LaMar moved to approve the applications of Coulthurst and Worzalla, with a note to Worzalla that his last name was spelled wrong on the training certificate. Seconded by Renfert. Carried with no negative votes.
Acceptance of 1st Quarter 2015 Dog Licensing Report – Budelier moved to accept the report. Seconded by LaMar. The humane society will be asked to follow up with dog owners who licensed dogs last year, but have not yet done so this year. Motion to accept the report carried with no negative votes.
Discussion and possible action on appointment of members to Zoning Board of Appeals – Budelier will become ex officio member of the Zoning Committee. Vacancies on the Zoning Board of Appeals will be filled at the May board meeting.
Street Update – The Clerk reported T&C Pavement Maintenance is scheduled to sweep streets before the May 9 rummage sale. Gloudemans reported that a resident was upset by excess gravel scraped by the snowplow onto grassy areas in the alley between Linwood and Greenbriar. ConsTrucks was called to scrape the gravel off of the grass. It was noted that street edges were gouged by the snowplow this winter due to unfrozen, soft turf. Gloudemans noted it is not Village practice to repair these areas in street right-of-ways – adjacent homeowners typically take care of them during spring clean-up.
Village Hall Update – A shutter is loose on the south side of the Village Hall. The Clerk will follow up with staff.
Approval of April bills – LaMar moved to approve the bills. Seconded by Budelier. Carried with no negative votes.
Set date for annual Open Book and Board of Review – The Board of Review was scheduled for Monday, May 18, 2015 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The Open Book was scheduled for the same date from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
The next regular board meeting will be on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. at the Village Hall.
With no further business before the board, the meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
